I established L4 enterprises LLC to address a need I noticed in statistical laboratories across a wide spectrum of industries.  Specifically, the need for statistical support is largely a “feast or famine” proposition.  For most organizations, if a statistical lab is staffed sufficiently to cover periods of intense use, there are extended periods where statisticians are paid to wait for data.  Alternatively, if staffing is designed for periods requiring limited statistical support, the statistical workers are overloaded during periods of intense need.  Often, the quality of work produced by tired and hurried statisticians is degraded just when the accuracy of their products is most critical.  L4 enterprises LLC allows managers to flex their organization’s statistical capabilities when needed without incurring overhead in times when they are not.

In addition, there are many circumstances where research support is a truly one-time requirement.  A researcher may need assistance for one paper, dissertation, or thesis.  A student or employee may need tutoring to understand a particular statistical concept.  L4 enterprises LLC is ideally organized to meet these needs.

An added advantage of L4 enterprises is that because we support diverse clients.  We have an ever expanding set of “tools” to use on your requirements, unlike an organic statistical laboratory which can easily fall into a routine.

We are constantly looking for new clients, employees, and subcontractors.  Feel free to send me an e-mail or to fill out our “contact us” form on our “contact us” page.

I am often asked why “L4”.  L4 was a shoulder brand used by my grandfather and father.  As a child I asked why “L4”.  I was told that it was a good brand for technical reasons.  (The 4 was open at the top as if written by a child so there were no islands of skin enclosed by scarring.) However, I was never given a signification.  So, I can’t help but suspect it was something untoward.

Sincerely,
